SIRACUSA
TUESDAY at 7.30
A bus trip to Siracusa with local guide. A visit to the Cathedral that is built in the Minerva period, to the Aretusa Fountain and to the ruins of the Apollo Temple on the Ortigia Island. The trip continues with the Greek Theatre and the Roman Amphitheatre.On the way back we visit the Eurialo Castle
PALERMO – MONREALE - CEFALÙ
WEDNESDAY at 6.00
Guided tour to the most importnat arab-norman monuments: Cappella Palatina in Palazzo dei Normanni (or la Martorana) and the Cathedral. Followed by a trip to Monreale to visit the Dome and the Cloister. After lunch we visit Cefalù. Lunch is optional.
ETNA
THURSDAY at 8.30
Departure from the Farmhouse by bus to Taormina and from there towards Giarre, Zafferana on the shores of Etna(mt.1.900). Visit to the Silvestri Craters. Climb up to the crater zone(mt.3.000) and optional lunch. Trekking in the Etna Park.
AGRIGENTO - PIAZZA ARMERINA
FRIDAY at 7.00
Departure by buss. From Taormina until Piazza Armerina and a visit to the roman mosaics of Villa del Casale. After lunch(optional), departure forDopo Agrigento and visit to the Temple Valley (if it is raining visit to the Archeology Museum).
